The schools of The Alliance for Character in Education, The Willows Academy (for girls) and Northridge Preparatory School (for boys), were founded in the mid 1970s by parents and educators who believed strongly in a family-based system of education. They were encouraged by Blessed Josemaría Escrivà, Founder of Opus Dei, to exercise a personal responsibility for their children’s education.
These two separate, independent, single-gender schools provide outstanding academics and have garnered a reputation as two of the finest schools in the nation. Educating students in grades six through twelve, The Willows and Northridge provide top level academics. Students at The Willows and Northridge score well above national averages on standardized tests, earning acceptance to the top colleges and universities across the country.
